Backyard Camping

here is our backyard fire. Travis had to work most of the day on Sunday--so the kids were so happy when he finally got home at 6. we thought it was a perfect night for a fire. --then we thought --why not set the tent up... we had a great time, but it's just not the same when our busy road had cars going all night.
zeke is climbing the big tree in our backyard. he would have gone futher, but the branches were too close together :)
chloe took this picture of our pond. she did a good job so I thought i would include it here. good job chloe!!
one last picture of the kids. aren't they cute? it was a great night.
i think only chloe got one bug bite. we had s'mores--they were awesome!!

Super Colorful Spiderweb

This is our version of spiderwebs in the backyard.

We had great fun at Grandpa and Grandma Konings house!

Hanging Around at the Park

We went to Pierre, South Daykota to visit my sister Marie and her husband Jason. We had lots of fun. We went for a walk to a nearby park and the kids played on the swings and kicked the soccer ball around.

We went for a walk at the river beach. It was so nice out on Friday! The sand was freshly dragged and super soft. There were these crazy fish that we think were white bass, they were swimming right next to the edge of the water going in crazy circles. We think they might have been spawning?? There were lots of them, and Zeke that it was great that he could get so close to them.
