Summer days

Hi everyone,

Well,Summer is almost over and it's still hot here in Texas. The photos are from a day at the beach. Well, actually it's a lake, but Zeke likes to call it the beach. His friend, in the one photo, is Gabriel, our neighbor.
The kids and Becky have been staying home for most of the week, thinking that we would be getting the chickenpox anyday. Every spot is closely examined and both kids have had fevers, but no REAL chickenpox!!
Travis and I have been taking turns helping our church-plant everynight this week. We have been going door-to-door handing out flower pots to new residents in The Colony. With our whole group we handed out about 300 pots this week!! We found people to be very grateful and some even looking for a church. Encouraging.
This week the happy couple celebrates 7 years. God has been good. Has it really been that long? Friday night Katie came to watch the kids while we went on our date to IKEA. Not the most romantic, but Becky's pick. They have really good meatballs.
For those who haven't heard IKEA opened up just 5 miles from here. Just another great reason to visit the Bonnema's in Texas :)

First Blog

Hi all,
This is our new 'blog'. We will be updating with new information
as often as we can so that we can stay in touch better.
Zeke is going to be 5 this December so we decided that he needs to go to Preschool this fall. Becky will be teaching him at home and classes start this week! Chloe is quite the little princess, and she thinks she rules the house. Well she does, but we don't actually tell her this :)
Travis is starting his fantasy football soon. How can you start football in August, his wife asks?
We are trying to stay cool and keeping up with our 'daily' swimming. We go either to the lake, the pool, or just the backyard kiddie pool.
